About me

I started my career in software engineering after graduating from Tsinghua University. Back then, my main goal was simple: make enough money to buy a car and a house. I’d worked hard my whole life, and I came from a poor background.

Early on, I was let go from two corporate jobs because I didn’t have senior-level skills yet. So I went all in on freelancing to build my skills. After three years, I had developed a solid set of skills.

Eventually, an opportunity came my way. I met with the career team at a top U.S. company, landed a job, and became a key member of the team. As I gained more experience, I became CTO of a small company.

Then I set out to build a new company for developers and students. That’s why I’m building KGG—a company that uses AI to match developers with jobs that fit them. I believe it will help many people land jobs, and I want them to be happy.

KGG Developing Company

About us

KGG Developing Company is a small software development group based in Berkeley, California. We build software for real clients, and we use that work to help students and junior developers learn how professional software actually gets made.

Most of us learned the hard way: through side projects, freelance gigs, and jobs we weren’t quite ready for. We want to make that path shorter for the people coming after us. That’s why we pair deep technical knowledge with an understanding of the business problem behind the code, and we teach both.

What we do:

  • Mentor students and juniors through hands-on projects, code reviews, and pairing sessions.
  • Teach the practices that matter on a real team: clean code, testing, security, and shipping software people enjoy using.
  • Help developers find work that fits their skills and grow into senior roles.
